ADULT SOCIAL CARE – Experienced Mental Health Social Worker (£32) , Camden Council

Duties will include: supporting discharges from inpatient mental health settings. You will contribute the Social Work voice within an integrated service and will be working with a wide range of professionals and agencies to support people who have been admitted/detained under the Mental Health Act. As a Social Worker, you will support the management of the social work service that supports adults with mental health needs, working closely with the Team Manager/Service Manager to embed Camden’s Model of Social Work and strengths based practice throughout the service. You must have experience of working with adults with psychosis and complex needs, experience of Care Act assessments and reviews, Must be organised, able to manage their time effectively and priorities their workload, must have good interpersonal skills and be able to engage with service users with diverse backgrounds, must be able to work as part of a team with a range of professionals, Must have a good knowledge of relevant legislation, policy & procedure including Safeguarding, Mental Health Act, Care Act and Mental Capacity Act. Experience of working in hospital discharge is desirable.
